What We Create, and Why We Create It
A Place to Wind Down, Wonder, and Contemplate
Afterglow is an independent publishing house and video studio. Across our YouTube channels and our press, we create books, audiobooks, documentaries, essays, and late-night stories that span a wide horizon: from non-dual philosophy and ontological questions about consciousness and reality, to classic literature, cultural history, and entertaining documentaries about vanished worlds, science, and human mystery.
Seen on the surface, an ontological inquiry like The Shattering of Certainty, a literary study of Dostoevsky or Jane Austen, an overnight radio story, and a documentary on going to the movies in 1977 or the Voyager Golden Record belong to different genres. What unites them is how they leave you feeling.
Honesty Without Negativity — Purposely Slowed Down
Everything around us today moves at breakneck speed, often driven by noise, cynicism, and outrage. We do the opposite. Whatever subject we explore—whether it is a deep philosophical question or an entertaining piece of cultural history—we look at it honestly, and we never spread negativity.
Our vision is to build a place where people can wind down, feel well, take some rest, and find genuine room for contemplation. That is why we purposely slow the pace of our videos, documentaries, and stories down, while our sister house, ClarityOne, is a sanctuary for contemplative writing and inner stillness.
A Warm Shelter for Readers and Listeners
We create a safe, warm space where people come to rest, feel at peace, experience joy and warmth, and love to dwell—publishing stories, videos, and sister books across languages so readers and listeners can meet the work in their own mother tongue. Human values remain at the center of everything we make.

Goodwill comes first. Our companion booklets are always free.
At the same time, we are a commercial press sustained by our readers. When you buy a full-length book or audiobook directly from us, you support our studio and fund the next free edition.
How we publish
We begin with a question or a body of work. Research, writing, image and sound take shape around it. Each edition is reviewed as a whole: what it says, what it shows, how it reads or sounds, and where it asks the audience to go next.
Sources belong with claims. Documentary material, interpretation and illustrative art have different roles. Editions link to the full text, video or recording and make availability clear.
